Celebrate Being Human: Tears in the Etsy session

The thing I’m most proud of this year (new babies don’t count, sorry Alma) is my work on the new Etsy campaign, Celebrate Being Human. It’s a stunning TV ad full of characterful vignettes of everyday milestones that make up our lives. This client was “allergic” to the commercial sound, so this had to sound utterly raw, real, and human. I waited in the session while the client listened to my takes, and when the agency (Orchard Films) came back on the line they said, “Briony, it just got really emotional in here.” I think I can count that as a job well done.
